LIFE recognises the importance of protecting an individual’s privacy. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that an individual’s personal information is protected from misuse or unauthorised disclosure.

LIFE uses personal information for the ordinary operation of its business including: to identify an individual; to provide its congregation with products and services they require including the administration and management of those products and services; for researching and developing LIFE’s products and services including an understanding of the congregation’s communications needs for the purposes of enhancing or improving LIFE’s products and services; informing the congregation of changes to LIFE’s products and services; and to conduct appropriate checks regarding the provision of the products and services to the congregation.

LIFE may use or disclose personal information about an individual to the extent: indicated at the time of supply of the information to LIFE; required to provide the congregation or an individual with products or services as requested; required for the ordinary operation of LIFE’s website or business (e.g. to inform the congregation about LIFE activities, products and services). LIFE will not use or disclose any information about an individual for purposes other than those listed above without first obtaining the individual’s consent, other than where the use of disclosure is permitted by law. An individual may request access, changes and updates to any personal information

LIFE hold about that individual at any time. Where any individual wishes to access their personal information held by LIFE or has any complaints regarding LIFE’s treatment of the individual’s personal information, then please email LIFE providing name and email address, and details of the request or complaint.

Photography & Video

During services and events, we may be taking still photographs and capturing video footage of various aspects, including shots where individuals and groups are identifiable. Please note that we may use these shots in social media and for promotional purposes. In line with our Child Protection Policy, no photographs or videos are to be taken where individual children can be identified, unless for a specific purpose with parental/caregiver permission.

How to unsubscribe

To unsubscribe from a mailing list or any other correspondence sent out by LIFE, please email: admin@lifeadelaide.org stating your name, email address and which communication you would like to stop receiving.

We keep your information for no longer than the purpose for which it was required. At that point we will securely destroy it by erasing all digital and physical files.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.
