But God

Stand together with us in prayer as we fight for the complete healing of Ps Paul de Jong

Hi Church,

At last night’s Encounter Night in Auckland, Ps Luke de Jong announced some news about Ps Paul de Jong and his health that we want to share with you as it is a situation that we are asking everyone to unite together as a church to pray and believe for a miracle.

Over recent years, Ps Paul has journeyed through fighting melanoma, and by God’s grace, has seen many miracles take place as a result. Late last week, we received the news that melanoma has returned and was detected through Ps Paul’s body. Even though the medical diagnosis has come as a shock to all of us, we are believing and standing in faith for a miracle of healing in Jesus’ name. We stand and believe that the name of Jesus is higher than any circumstance or medical diagnosis. Naturally speaking, there are medical treatments that may be part of this journey, but we are ultimately believing that God will work a mighty miracle through it all.

With this news, we face the beginning of a battle against the enemy for the complete healing of Ps Paul. We’re believing for breakthrough and asking that the church unite in prayer, stand on the power of God’s word and fight on Ps Paul’s behalf. We are also asking that you would cover Ps Maree and the whole de Jong family in prayer as they journey alongside Ps Paul. There is nothing more powerful than the spiritual weapon of prayer and nothing greater than our God. If you feel led to fast during this time as well, we encourage you to do so.

No matter what circumstances we are facing today, let’s never forget the authority that Jesus has over it all. A diagnosis of cancer may have been spoken, but God will have the final say.

Thank you for standing in faith with us, Church.
